Abstract: The purpose of the study was to study electron microscopic changes in the follicular cells of the thyroid gland of sexually mature rats after a 60-day administration of sodium benzoate. It has been established that administration of sodium benzoate to rats for 60 days causes unfavorable ultrastructural changes in the follicular cells of the thyroid gland.
