Abstract: The results of experimental studies of the spectral composition and yield of X-ray radiation from pyroelectric sources with cone-shaped targets are presented. A distinct maximum of the yield as a function of the distance between the pyroelectric crystal and the target is found for a single-crystal pyroelectric source with a truncated cone target
